Project overview

Blue Star Modern Solutions delivered the cold-chain installation for the McDonald's Nadah Plaza restaurant, including a dedicated walk-in freezer and walk-in chiller.

Both rooms were installed, tested and commissioned as a single coordinated package, so the restaurant received working refrigeration with one point of accountability.

Scope of work

Site survey & layout

Survey of the restaurant area, room sizing and layout coordination against the kitchen plan and available services.

Equipment supply

Supply of the insulated panels, condensing units, Friga-Bohn evaporators and Copeland compressors specified for each room.

Installation

Insulated room build, refrigeration piping, condensing unit and evaporator installation, electrical connections, controls and panel-board coordination.

Testing & commissioning

Leak testing, evacuation and charging, temperature pull-down, control settings and final handover to the restaurant team.
